Heritage Festival
Third Annual Crisfield Heritage Festival
September 28, 2024
Kid's activities, live entertainment, food, arts and craft vendors and live demonstrations - all showcasing the Chesapeake Bay culture of Crisfield - will be part of the festivities. Admission is FREE. The festival will be held behind the J.M. Tawes Historical Museum and Somers Cove Marina from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm.
Kid's activities: Bird House painting, sand art, a fishing pond, games, etc.
Food: Crisfield Lions & Lioness Club Famous Crabcakes, local BBQ,
Cupcakes, Hot Dogs, Smith Island Cakes & more.
Demonstrations & Exhibits: Crab pot making, net making, decoy carving,
fish cleaning, oyster shucking, crab picking, cooking, baking a Smith Island
cake, and more.
Decoy Contest: The Ward Foundation will be holding their Chesapeake Challenge Decoy Contest on the grounds of the Heritage Festival this year. Come out and see the decoys.

​Also during the festival, the Crisfield Heritage Foundation will announce the recipients of the Third Annual Legacy Award and Fifth Annual Heritage Awards. The publicwas invited to submit the names of individuals and organizations who have demonstrated a lasting impact on - or made a significant contribution to - the Crisfield community. ​

Don't Miss the 2nd Annual Hold-Up Service to be held Friday, September 27th from 6:00- 7:00 pm in the Somers Cove Pavilion. Come experience this celebration of seafood workers & area watermen. Admission is FREE!
